More than 60 former employees gathered on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the invitation of the management for an alumni reunion held in the former Geha showroom.
After a warm welcome by Managing Director Rolf Henrichsmeyer, a corporate presentation followed, showcasing impressive and positive figures—an achievement that is by no means a given in the current furniture industry.
Following this, guests were given a tour of the factory, providing exciting insights into the company's development. It was impressively clear just how much intensive and positive change Formaplan has undergone in recent years.
Where manual workstations once stood, there are now state-of-the-art systems with automated feeding and stacking—often supported by robotics. Since Formaplan now operates on a three-shift system in nearly all departments, visitors were even able to experience the complex machinery in full operation. In addition to the consistent modernization of the machinery, new hall constructions and renovations were presented, highlighting the company’s continuous progress.
During the subsequent dinner, there was plenty of opportunity to revive old memories and exchange stories from years past. An accompanying slideshow featured the diverse history of Geha and Formaplan over the last 100 years, creating many nostalgic moments.
The alumni reunion was a thoroughly successful event that will be remembered by everyone involved for a long time to come—and it certainly deserves to be repeated.
